Meeting our new teacher

The main aim of this long school trip is to learn more about  the English language in order to become more confident with it.
For this purpose we are attending a school in the centre of Glasgow which is specialised in teaching English language to foreign people who came in Scotland to study, work etc...

First of all school group was split into two other separated groups based on our level of knowledge and competence.

Mr Lee is our teacher: he is from Edinburgh but he was forced to move here in Glasgow due to family issues.

Although he is a very good in what he does and a well prepared teacher he is also good at singing and he performed in a band in his younger days, but now he says he doesn't have the same energy anymore.

Our first lesson was quite simple with easy tasks to do - our teachers wanted to test out entry level before any other activity - now, after the first week, things are becoming quite difficult and a little bit harder; in fact we are learning a lot of new words every days, and I’m feeling more confident day after day.

Although people think that English classes are very boring, we have a lot of fun during our lessons.

A Very Special Day

O n Friday 30th November we had an exciting afternoon at the University of Glasgow, one of the most beautiful buildings in the city, since 1451(year of its foundation). Inside the building there's a History and Science Museum called the Hunterian Museum in which there were a lot of interesting objects and historical remains from different times in history such as old roman shoes and stuffed animals  including internal organs!! This place is worth the visit.
On 27th of November some students of my school and I left Rome to land to Glasgow in order to participate to a European project concerning the Europen citizenship and the English language. For the next three weeks we will attend an English language course in the city centre of Glasgow. This photo was taken at the very moment we arrived in Edinburgh. Look at the huge capital letters! We took a picture altogether after almost six hours of exhausting travelling.

Our trip to Scotland(1st day)

On the 27th November my English group and I left from Rome to Glasgow to participate to a European Project. Our trip lasted 6 hours - we had to take two flights - due to a stopover in Frankfurt where we stopped for 50 minutes. When we arrived in Glasgow it was colder than we expected, but luckily there was a bus waiting for us and we arrived to the hotel almost an hour later. A Foggy Day

When we got out of the hotel to go to school, this was the weather like that morning. I was really surprised also because temperature was -2 degrees! It was really cold during all the day and you can imagine our joy when we finally went back to the hotel after an entire day out.
On Sunday 1st  December my classmates and I visited one of the most fascinating attraction in Glasgow: The Science Museum. It wasn't the first time, I went there also last March, but I enjoyed the visit so much because I'm attending the last year of school in a Scientific Lyceum and I love everything related to science and subjects like that. After visiting the Museum, we assisted to a fantastic live show in the Glasgow Planetarium, a huge room in the museum dedicated to this kind of shows and in my opinion I can surely say that this was the most interesting part of our scientific journey in the museum because we experienced a fantastic half an hour in which we orbited around the space, passing from a planet to another one, listening to a detailed - and quite understandable - voice over commenting everything.
